Who Are We?

• We are an international collection (Swiss, Costa Rican, Canadian) of people who found their way to the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica and wanted to help people explore this beautiful country.
• We love nature and want to protect it and keep it pristine.
• We like authentic experiences not fake packaged tours and want to help you experience the real Costa Rica even though you may not have as much time as you'd like!
• We work out of our offices at Hotel Banana Azul, on the black beach just north of Puerto Viejo.
• We support the community we live in including the Cocles Beach Lifeguard Program.

Our Team

Nina

Travelling and getting to know other cultures are my passions. Organising and planning are my strenghts. Being able to combine the two has made a life dream come true.

Since little my dream was to live and work abroad one day, although I always wanted to have a B&B and some horses to do horseback riding tours. As often in life, things came different than expected but my dream still came true when I founded Gecko Trail Adventures together with my co-owners. Before that, back home in Switzerland, I was working as a project manager for a big insurance company. I did love my work but there was something missing - I could not identify myself with the product "insurance". Finally being able to work in the tourism industry, where the product "travel" is also my big passion, I could not be happier.

It is important to me that Gecko Trail Adventures not only stands for a fun and hassle-free experience but for the best customer service possible.
